Houston - We Have Our 1st Question!!!

Zach finally, finally, finally ASKED ME A QUESTION today!!!! This is so huge. In the past the only time he's ever asked anything (that ends in a question mark, not just asking for something) has been in an obvious situation - like when Matt would walk in the door he'd say "Daddy, are you home?" Not a real question as it's totally rhetorical. Today was different.

"Mommy, what's the girl's name of the 2 girls and their mommy with the different Macy?"

(Translation - what is the girl's name that has a sister named Macy (but not the Macy I see all the time) and I've seen them with their Mommy?)

Do you mean Audrey and Macy?

"Yeah, yeah. The 2 girls have the flying Peter Pan toy Mommy."

This is so funny on many levels. One - he hasn't seen Audrey and Macy (his cousins) in a very long time, and even then he's only been around them maybe a dozen of times. As for what toy he's talking about, I have no idea, but I assure you that he does!!! The kid could have seen a toy literally 3 years ago and would never forget who's it was. Unbelievable! I wish I had that kind of memory :-) And even funnier still is that I just TODAY emailed with their Mommy and set up an outing with the kids for Spring Break! Weird....

But, he asked a question!!!! Such good stuff!

We are so proud of Zach as well as his Mommy and Daddy for all their love, strength and dedication. It sounds like Zach's making amazing progress, and we're thrilled about it. And honored to be part of Zach's "1st question."

Love, Cindy, Steve, Audrey and Macy
