Zach's FIVE Now! And Reading!!

Yep, he's five now! WOW! As if I wasn't teary-eyed from that fact alone, tonight at bedtime he really brought tears to my eyes. The kid that couldn't talk much a year ago READ his book to ME tonight!

Mouse is busy,
mouse is fast -
Grabbing (with help) letters
as he runs past.

He finds new ways
to make a rhyme (with help)
by switching letters
every time.

- Lots in the middle -

Can you keep playing
this rhyming (got it the 2nd time) game?
Make more words
that end the same!

He nailed it!!! And didn't get bored, give up or tell me "no you read it mommy", like in past attempts at keeping him focused through a whole book. AND he'd/we'd never read this book before, so it wasn't cheating memorization he was using, which is very common around here, as the kiddos memory is unbelievable - he can see something once and never forget it. Truly.

Such a big boy now! Such a proud mommy!

Happy Birthday Zach!!!! Five is such an accomplishment. And congrats on the reading. That's excellent. Courtney, if he memorizes as well as I've been reading, he's going to do fantastic in school. Just think of all the A's on history tests!

What an amazing accomplishment! I can just imagine how proud you are of him. I have a son with disabilities, so I totally understand the teary eyes!
